Shoved into the right hue
Weaknesses begin to show
Hide under the mask you made
Live behind your false facade
Now the questions pierce you
Deepening newly found flaws
Falling splinters of colored glass
Won’t make a stable house
The minds of the people are getting stronger
Excuse me Miss, but you’re beginning to crumble
Burning rays start to sear your flesh
Cover your eyes
It's all too much
You are exposed
Revealed for all to see
And as the light begins to fade
Ashes are all that's left of the mask you made

Start
Please don't speak this so easily,
"I don't mind for us to part"
Oh, the way yor mind reads me
Guess we'll live now apart
I wish we we're back at the start
Just tell me you love me
Only to have it haunt me
Twisting my thoughts until it hurts
I ran back to find you only to lose you
Love is a long wasted effort
Just tell me one little secret
Will you be here at the end of this?
'Cause I bear my last few emotions
Knowing that they won't conquer your heart
So I won't go back to the start
But I'll ask you this one thing,
"Can you still love me?"
Chewing a pencil as if it were my words
All the reactions to all of these actions
Have turned feelings down under the dirt
How did all of this time pass
With everything going so unsaid?
I'd tell you to lie in my arms here
But dreadfully I already know what lies ahead
You're starting to leave now
In company I'll always depart
For fragile love breaks at my window
But I know the mess was once such beautiful art
Way back at the start
"I don't mind for us to part"
Oh, the way yor mind reads me
Guess we'll live now apart
I wish we we're back at the start
Just tell me you love me
Only to have it haunt me
Twisting my thoughts until it hurts
I ran back to find you only to lose you
Love is a long wasted effort
Just tell me one little secret

Writers Bane
This empty knot inside my chest
Is draining and mockingly cavalier
This thing is holding on so tight, so dear
How do I cast out this monster of dullness
The progenitor of madness
The paladin of insignificance
How do I rob it of its trivial promenade
To stop it would be a blessing
To kill it, a miracle
To wretch it out from writhing my chest
Seems to cost a life time
Of diligent work and labor
This retched fiend
Which blissfully sucks creativity
Right out from my precious marrow
I could, I should impale it
And feed it to the poisons of the world
Just anything to end this
This parasitic conquest of my waning body
But coincidentally if it died by my hand
The product of such an act is commutative
So what to do?
Is draining and mockingly cavalier
This thing is holding on so tight, so dear
How do I cast out this monster of dullness
The progenitor of madness
The paladin of insignificance
How do I rob it of its trivial promenade
To stop it would be a blessing
To kill it, a miracle
To wretch it out from writhing my chest

Easel on the Eyes
One paints their sky with chartreuse
Another will turn to do the same
But I stand in solitary with my sky of burgundy
The stars resplendently floating
Theirs haven’t the chance twinkle
Does this astral projection
Mean that I’m going out of my mind?
Tracing paper is no use on a girl with wit
She’ll enjoy the etched heart
And through it she’ll see your pen
Laying, lying in the hands of a maligner
Caked up hands reach over to grab the easel
That I’ve lain next to my place of dreams
My feeling scribble themselves out
Unique it is, perfect is not
Though none could tell me otherwise
I cry for them, they have no identity
Paint your own, I’ll whisper
But they’ll sigh not one breath attention
As they wear individuality as last year’s trend
But the ones who fashion their art
Splendor is their names
Let’s sing out to the night
And cover these deceitful meanings we call souls
In plasmatic, plastic frames to be like everyone else
We are all nothing but a blank canvas
So I’ll be sure to emblazon mine
Another will turn to do the same
But I stand in solitary with my sky of burgundy
The stars resplendently floating
Theirs haven’t the chance twinkle
Does this astral projection
Mean that I’m going out of my mind?
Tracing paper is no use on a girl with wit
She’ll enjoy the etched heart
And through it she’ll see your pen

The Composer
Notes glide gently
Across the strings they float
Like paper upon a stilled lake, waiting
Soothingly caressing the mind
Of weary and brawny alike, it matters naught
Each stricken note emerges clear
Words seem not to matter anymore
For when one breathes in the placid melody
Carried out in such a manner
Lyrics fade to the abyss of your mind
So the notes tell her story
Of how the music came to be
She releases every feeling
To bestow upon anyone who takes notice
No matter the language
Glistening hums break the barrier
Played on and on, accompanied with a grin
The people drown in melodic waves
As the music depicts the ways of life
That even song birds find entrancing
Her name spoken softy
And ever so gracefully
Her name,
A Composer
Across the strings they float
Like paper upon a stilled lake, waiting
Soothingly caressing the mind
Of weary and brawny alike, it matters naught
Each stricken note emerges clear
Words seem not to matter anymore
For when one breathes in the placid melody

Sound Of The Song
The spearmint in your eyes
Burrow through the single core of my soul
And I can feel the hot, chilled breath
Of your words as you tear from me
Sounds of broken paper
Rings in the hollowness of the drums in my ear
Yet the fibers of our fingers are slightly warming together
And you know I can't dance
Unless it's slow to a song without a meaning
Yet this orchestra you have created
Moves the sole of the soulless shoes
And takes the hands which craft nothing
Far beyond their ability to be considered substantial
The mind, which comes to light
You have reticulated into a pensive state
So I can't help but to brood over aloud
Is this the sound of our demise
Or the music of a first verse
Burrow through the single core of my soul
And I can feel the hot, chilled breath
Of your words as you tear from me
Sounds of broken paper
Rings in the hollowness of the drums in my ear
Yet the fibers of our fingers are slightly warming together
And you know I can't dance
Unless it's slow to a song without a meaning
Yet this orchestra you have created
Moves the sole of the soulless shoes
And takes the hands which craft nothing
Far beyond their ability to be considered substantial

You have reticulated into a pensive state
So I can't help but to brood over aloud
Is this the sound of our demise

Slip by
I'll go my own way
Being as invisible as heat waves
But you can still sense something
So search and embrace me
Hold me back, hold my hand
If I turn, my wrist will simply bend
Like the love we held in the breeze
And you can't let it slip
Because all you hold is all I have
Out in this sea of unruly confession
I'm drifting, drifting far-off
But you were there to notice the push from land
Don't admit me for drowning
When the polluted air I breathe
Is the only thing filling these tired lungs
Being as invisible as heat waves
But you can still sense something
So search and embrace me
Hold me back, hold my hand
If I turn, my wrist will simply bend
Like the love we held in the breeze
And you can't let it slip
Because all you hold is all I have
Out in this sea of unruly confession
I'm drifting, drifting far-off
But you were there to notice the push from land
Don't admit me for drowning
When the polluted air I breathe
Is the only thing filling these tired lungs
